It's monster boot time at the Meeks home. Bo was very excited when he awoke from his nap to find it raining outside. He loves to wear his monster boots and splash in the puddles. I just realized this was the second post about Bo and his shoes...I guess he takes after his mommy and daddy who also share a love for shoes!!!!!

What a Croc!
I love Saturday's! It was so nice to sleep in today. Even Bo slept until 8:00. We stayed in our p.j.'s until noon, then proceeded to get dressed for our excursion to Wal-mart. Bo was excited because he could wear his crocs today. Ryan and I don't allow him to wear them to school, so Bo loves any chance he can get to wear them....it really is a big deal around here.
The other highlight of our day was McDonald's...I know, I know, this is very sad....but the kid loves chicken nuggets, french fries and sprite. Ryan and I went so long without feeding him fast food (we said we were never going to be one of those parents who let their children live on fast food) and now we find ourselves giving in to occasional indulgences...So, I guess you could say that our theme for the day is a few of our favorite things: Crocs, McDonald's and baths!!!!!

MLK Weekend
Sorry it has been so long since my last post. We have been out of town. We went to Jacksonville for the weekend and took Bo on his first camping trip. We had a blast biking around the beach, visiting the ocean, riding the ferry boat, visiting Shelley and the kids, and of course the Jacksoville Zoo (which by the way, puts the Atlanta Zoo to shame) We also were in town for a wedding which was absolutely beautiful! Man, I'm tired just listing the things we did, so you can imagine how tired we were from doing all of this. Enjoy the pics!!!

That's Wild
This is our theme for the day. When I picked Bo up from school today, his teachers were laughing so hard they could barely tell me how funny he had been all day. His phrase for the day at school was "that's wild". If you know Bo well, then you know that when he speaks he has so much gusto in his little voice.....it's hillarious. He also decided to show his teachers and attempt to teach his classmates how to do a flip. Yes, that's right a flip. When he does his flip, you better clap for him when he's done or he will be quick to tell you......."clap for me, clap for me please" Ryan and I are not really sure how he learned to do this. One day, he just put his head on the ground between his legs and flipped his body straight over. Of course he thinks it's hillarious and will do it over and over until we make him stop....and yes, grandma is afraid that he is going to break his neck-it scares her half to death. That was our day in a nutshell. However, I did cook once again. I made a chicken pot pie and it was pretty good....easy to make, that is what really counts. We will see what tomorrow brings:)

Dinner Time
My New Year's resolution was to learn to cook. I am actually enjoying this ..(i think). Tonight we had honey glazed salmon, couscous, and green beans ( you know that I have to compete with Jennifer's, Paula Dean meal). The salmon was actually a hit for Bo, he cleared his entire plate. The couscous was a hit for Ryan, so I guess everyone had their favorite part. I, of course enjoyed it all....well, I mean, I do love food you know! After dinner we gave Bo some animal cookies for dessert. While he was eating one of his cookies, he told us he was eating a hippopotamus and that he was going to eat his head off first. He said "hippopotamus" just as plain as day......he never ceases to amaze us.
